Alongside very bold books regarding Catholic orthodoxy that some Catholic publishing houses, of proven fidelity, do not hesitate to publish without any 'imprimatur', welcome are these irreproachable publications in matters of orthodoxy, which can contribute to the affirmation of that non-sectarian and truly Catholic mentality of the Church.

Review by Giuseppe

The Lord has heard the incessant cry of the poor of all the earth and sends His Spirit to the four corners of the universe to 'give life to the brokenhearted, to bind up their wounds'. For the fulfillment of this planetary design, the Spirit uses all the resources of His originality and unpredictability, like the wind slipping everywhere, arousing new charisms and multiplying them to the unbelievable, seizing all the gaps allowed by the unity of men who trust in Him.

Another very interesting aspect of the book is the theological correspondence between 'charismatic' intuitions and the acquisitions of modern theology, both dogmatic and spiritual.

The stunning pages concerning the account of the Passion are decidedly a masterpiece, both in the visualization of the dramatic scenes and in the affective and spiritual explanations, which help in a truly exceptional deepening of the mystery of God's suffering and the profound meaning of liberation from sin.

There is undoubtedly, in this book, a unique flavor of liberation and joy, as if the words read had the power to penetrate and lead to the truth of yourself and your present, as if someone took you by the hand, enlightened you, and, bringing you close to His Heart, had the joy of communicating His beats, His warmth, His transforming love.

I tried to identify with the passion of Christ through His mother Mary, this exceptional, immaculate woman, the first starting point who, with her YES, allowed the great divine mystery to be fulfilled. The stages of the crucifixion were touching; I shed tears of suffering for all the unimaginable evil endured and tears of joy for the unimaginable mercy and goodness. The question that arose in me is this: If we ordinary men suffer so much when we are abandoned by a loved one, how much must Christ have suffered for being abandoned by everyone? I think that suffering is the only path that leads to love.

The reading of this volume truly opens a way in the desert of our heart.

There are descriptions so real that they moved and enriched me both interiorly and mentally. Moreover, how many of us invoke the Heavenly Mother without knowing Her! We know the story of her life like the plot of a novel, but not the beauty of her essence. In these pages, She shows herself in all Her Greatness and Goodness. She gently urges us to act without fear. She reassures us of her immense love and her help that will never fail. She tells us of her daily life made of joys, renunciations, sacrifices, and anxiety for her sweet Son. She is the Mom who at the foot of the cross lived an immense and unequalled pain for the innocent Son immolated on the scaffold.

Thus, pronouncing the sweetest word 'Mom' fills the heart with love. Invoking Her truly becomes a prayer that gives weight and meaning to words. Yes, in Her we have an Ally who follows us on our path and intercedes for us with the Most High.

The narration of the Crucifixion is so realistic that every gesture is a stab to the heart. It is impossible to remain with an arid heart after having read and meditated on these stunning pages. I had moments of anger, a healthy anger thinking that even today I crucify Him with my fear, mistrust, and little faith.

I thank the authors for having written this book because they opened my heart, making me know the Heavenly Mother. I experienced deep and painful emotions that induced me to reflect on my life.

I urge you, Corrado and Enrico, to continue writing not only for me, but for so many other female and male readers who desire, through the stimulus of strong emotions and meditations, to finally begin that spiritual path that leads directly to the burning heart of Jesus.

With immense gratitude.
