My word is the word of the Father

My Word, says Jesus, is the Word of the Father and the love of the Holy Spirit. It is spiritual manna that fills with sweetness and, if kept and practiced, opens the gates of eternal life and grants a place in Paradise.

I am the Master, I am He who finds His delight in the children who know how to listen, because it is necessary to live, believe, and walk according to my word. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Outside of Me there is no other way, truth, or life.

Resolution

If you fall due to weakness, do not be surprised by the fall, because it is natural for weakness to be weak and for misery to be miserable.

Do not linger in self-pity, rise up and resolve not to offend the Lord anymore. Entrust yourself with confidence to His Mercy and then resume with enthusiasm the path toward virtues.

Do not act impulsively and do not fall into anxiety with a restless and tormented heart, because it will be a source of disturbance to your reason and judgment.

He who is in a hurry, says Solomon, runs the risk of stumbling and bumping into everything.

"The presumption of being strong prevents many from being steadfast; no one will be truly strong unless he feels weak" (St. Augustine).

Strengthen your resolve not to sin anymore and abandon yourself trustingly into the arms of God. Do not doubt His forgiveness and eternal salvation: "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you" (Ps 55:22).

The prophet says: "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint" (Is 40:31).

The inspirations that God may grant you are perceived as invitations or even as inner remorse that you feel coming from the heart to shake you, to push you toward virtues and toward His Love. Do not oppose them, but listen to them serenely, give your consent: it is the right way to become virtuous and to please God.

Listening to the Word

The Bible is this word of God that speaks to our heart. Whoever desires to live in Jesus must listen to these divine words that inspire Wisdom and, through the Spirit, illuminate the intellect.

"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (Jn 8:31-32).

Jesus is He who loves God to the end because He listens to the voice of the Father and unconditionally obeys the will of the Father.

Each person, in their own disposition to listen, first pays attention to understand on an intellectual level; then, if interest grows, they heed the emotions that the Word has stirred in their own heart.

It will be these emotions, fallen into the depths of our being, that will guide our actions, leading us toward a total sharing both with God and with our neighbor.

Happiness and joy can be reflected from that of Jesus; in Him, indeed, one can find the way of love that allows one to dive into His Heart. He desires to make us protagonists of our future in His omnipotence.

He desires to welcome us as children to fill us with joy and happiness. He asks nothing; He only invites us to open our hearts to understand. It is the voice of love that whispers to all hearts; it is up to us to listen to it.

The way to be victorious is this covenant that must be sought by every means. Thus, convinced of human misery and certain of our nothingness, we appeal to Him who can do all things.

Grant, O Lord, that we may seek You. Have mercy on us, so that we may speak to You. Listen, Lord, to this supplication, so that our soul may not fail. O God of virtues, convert us, show us Your face and we shall be saved.

The Lord says: "I am your salvation, your peace, your life" (Ps 35:3). Remain united to Me and you will find peace. Do not worry about what is transient, but aim for the eternal. Set aside, then, all that is superfluous and make yourself acceptable to your Creator, so that you may attain true blessedness.
