Invisible Monastery of Charity and Fraternity - home prayer group

A reciprocal call between God and man

The living and true God incessantly calls every person to the mysterious encounter of prayer. This step of love of the faithful God always comes first; man's step is always a response. As God reveals Himself and reveals man to himself, prayer appears as a reciprocal call, a covenant event.

What is the Invisible Monastery of charity and fraternity?

The prayer group was founded for all those people who wish to pray but do not have the possibility to leave home, have family impediments, or do not have an active prayer group in their locality. Thus, they can join our proposal to pray together, from their own home, making the words of Jesus resonate in their hearts: "If two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19).

Why is it important to pray?

Prayer is one of the real occupations of our life. We are holy by reason of our prayer. Praying is perhaps the easiest thing in this world. The Lord tells the Apostles that they must always pray; therefore, this practice must be accessible, at least in some of its forms.

What are the stages of prayer?

For very many people, as the years go by, prayer decreases because religious life does not develop harmoniously with the other parts of the personality. At fifteen, life expands, while piety may remain infantile. Between seventeen and twenty, poor religious instruction or passive attendance at the Sacraments can weaken spiritual life. Prayer is often confused with the mechanical recitation of formulas, without understanding that those words are a bridge between the human and the divine.

"I don't want to pray": how to overcome this block?

Do you not pray perhaps because you have not yet understood that prayer is asking God for everything you need to live? It is turning to His Mercy in a filial way to obtain spiritual and material gifts, to get out of helplessness and bridge the distance that separates us from Him. It is an ascent of the soul towards God. Through prayer, God converses with you, answers you, and caresses you gently. You find in Him a Father, a friend, and a burning fire. What more could you desire?

Who should you pray for?

You should pray for all those who have lost hope and the will to live. For those who are alone, abandoned, desperate, tried by illness, and wander in darkness in search of a light. Interceding for them through a passionate prayer is an act of charity very pleasing to God.

How to insert your prayer requests?

On the Intentions page of the website, all requests made by our members are published, over which the entire worldwide group prays. Our prayer is not a generic supplication, but is directed to those who need it and have made an explicit request.

Can I ask others to pray for me?

Yes, you can report your personal needs via email and the entire prayer group will pray with you and for you. You too will be able to experience the Mercy of God and you will be amazed.

What to do if the prayer does not seem to be answered?

When a prayer is not answered, the reason may lie in the request itself (if it is not in accordance with the true good) or in faith. If it is in the request, it is right that it is not answered as it is. If the flaw is in faith, prayer requires deepening the relationship with God. He always knows what we really need.
